Sierra Nevada’s and Cúrate’s executive chefs team up to talk local food at Meet the Chefs.
Executive chefs Jessie Massie of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Katie Button of Cúrate and Nightbell transform the bounty of local farms every day in Western North Carolina through their commitment to purchasing local ingredients for their booming restaurants. The two chefs will be teaming up for a Meet the Chefs event at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Tailgate Market on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 to shop local alongside guests, talk agriculture with farmers, and select choice ingredients from vendors.

LOCATION: High Gravity (due to inclement weather)
At Meet the Chefs, Massie and Button will shop the Tailgate Market, share what they look for in a stellar tomato or cut of beef, and then fire up their cook stations. Guests will learn new recipes during a cooking demo, enjoy samples and beer pairings, and leave inspired to create their own local dishes. The Tailgate Market runs from 4:00-7:00 in the Taproom Garden, and Meet the Chefs begins at 5:00.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Executive Chef Jessie Massie currently sources more than 60% of ingredients from local farms and continues to grow that number annually. Executive Chef Katie Button is bringing the tastes of Appalachia to her Spanish cuisine by favoring locally grown produce and meats over imported varieties of traditionally used ingredients.
