Lyric

“Forget being signed. Paper fades. Legends don’t. I was born one.” This is what this band lives by. They started out as street musicians, filling downtown Asheville streets corners while touching many hearts . “The streets is where we love to be. We get so much positive feedback that it pushes us to work harder. This is where we started and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” said Leeda Jones(Lyric). With a sound and style that is so unique, they’re sure to please any crowd. Playing covers such as “Fast Car and Give me One Reason,” by Tracy Chapman, to their compelling version of Tear the Roof Off/ We Want the Funk,” by George Clinton, it would be hard not to get in the groove with them. Not to mention their well known catchy originals such as “Blue Skies,” and “So High,” which are loved by their many fans.
Lyric has played street festivals such as the Goombay festival, Bele Chere festival, Fall for Greenville Festival, Sourwood Festival and the Black Mountain arts festival. LYRIC have also played with Grammy award winning Count M’Butu from Derrick Trucks band, and opened for Grammy wine “Lizz Wright.” Not long ago did the band finish their album entitled, “Guitar Feet.” this album takes you n a walk through the promise of a better day. Through all hardships and struggle, this album has been known to lift people’s spirits!!

The Fritz

After five years of traveling the East Coast and steadily building a reputation as a live act not to be missed, Asheville music ambassadors, The Fritz, played a strong year of sets showing thousands of new fans what throngs of Southeastern music lovers have known for years: The Fritz likes to get funky. As much as they take their funk seriously, the band takes it’s rock-honed songwriting just as seriously, but the well crafted song is not the only final product in the live forum. Individually, the members of The Fritz are masters of improvisation, carefully weaving their personality into each performance.
While the music may range from hard driving soul to progressive rock, a common thread of The Fritz’s passionate energy reigns true in each show. Whether live or in the studio, the band creates an energetic dance party every time. Their 2013 release, Bootstrap, released positive acclaim around the region. The Fritz brought several unforgettable performances to festivals all over the East Coast. As 2016 rounds to a close, the boys are preparing to enter the studio to record a new album with the help of Dave Brandwein (Turkuaz, The London Souls, Zongo Junction). The Fritz looks forward to a great year in 2017, as they continue to spread the good Fritz gospel of intoxicating live music.
