For the past decade The Judy Chops have been wowing audiences with their deft musicianship and high-energy live shows. This seven piece band comprised of family and friends has evolved from a Shenandoah Valley local favorite into one of the hottest acts in the Virginia music scene. Soaring vocal harmonies mixed with guitars, tenor banjo, bass, drums and a dynamic two piece horn section of trumpet, and baritone saxophone provide the sonic palette for their unique take on Americana music. Striving for sonic excellence, The Digs play original music and choice interpretations guaranteed to delight ears and asses alike. A unique concoction of funk, soul, RnB and jazz, The Digs have been turning heads and gaining regional attention over the past year from their home base of Asheville, North Carolina. Composers Simon George (keyboard and synth bass) and Ram Mandelkorn (guitar) work with three rotating drummers; Claude Coleman Jr.(drummer of Ween) Phil Bronson (previous drummer of Jonathan Scales Fourchestra)and Jaze Uries (drummer of The Broadcast).

Shabudikah is an original six piece funk band from Asheville, North Carolina. Shabudikah’s compositions feature three part horn lines, blistering solos, and soulful vocals. The band draws upon a wide variety funk, soul, and jazz influences to deliver the powerful hard-hitting grooves that define it’s massive unique sound. Shabudikah features Justice Mann on trombone, Jamie Berlyn on saxophones, Nate Sly on keys and trumpet, Joe Mohrmann on bass, Reid Parler on guitar, and Kevin Scott on drums and vocals. Shabudikah’s authentic brand of funk guarantees a brass-shaking good time.

The Page Brothers are co-led by guitarist Andy Page and bassist Zack Page. Utilizing a rotating line-up of the finest musicians in Western NC, the group keeps a busy performance schedule in the Southeast. Performing together for over 30 years, the twins’ music-making has brought them to all 50 U.S. states, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and South America. Collectively they have had the good fortune to perform with notable jazz artists such as Phil Woods, Tony Monaco, Billy Higgins, Delfeayo Marsalis, Babik Reinhardt and many others.
After a successful appearance at Sierra Nevada earlier this year, The Page Brothers return with an amazing band featuring the talents of drummer Jeff Sipe and keyboardist Mike Runyon, and will draw from the catalog of jazz-rock/fusion pioneers. Expect several tunes from Jeff Beck’s iconic “Blow by Blow” album and music by Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and John McLaughlin as well as originals by Page and Runyon.
Acclaimed drummer Jeff Sipe has performed extensively with a wide array of artists including Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring, Leftover Salmon, Jeff Coffin, Keller Williams, Warren Haynes and many others. Widely recognized for his drumming proficiency in multiple styles, Sipe brings his technical virtuosity, a solid groove, and creative flair to every playing opportunity.
Keyboardist Mike Runyon performs regularly throughout the region with Metaphonia, the Broadcast, Magnus and others. Runyon has performed some of the most demanding repertoire in the classical idiom and combines his knowledge of rock, jazz and other styles into a unique voice for composing and performance.

Charleston, SC’s Dangermuffin is an eclectic quartet that weaves lyrical themes of sea, sun, and spiritual connection with Americana, Island influenced, Folk and Jam grooves. The band’s live show swims between tasty acoustic, and rockin’ electric sounds.

On the band’s 6th and latest release, ‘Heritage,’ Dangermuffin reaches into their creative arsenal to craft an album showcasing the band’s signature coastal-influenced grooves mixed with Americana sensibilities and Appalachian fingerpicking. The album’s lyrics contemplate the universal human connection to our ancestors, ancient traditions and symbols while yearning for humanity to get back to its roots. It is an audible showcase weaving introspective lyrics with catchy, nimble guitar riffs. Fittingly, the album’s soaring vocals were recorded in Charleston’s historic Unitarian Church, a National Historic Landmark built in 1772.
