Southern Gothic Session Pils
Steeped in tradition, yet, ready for anything. That pretty much sums up our Southern Gothic Session Pils. This hop-forward, but light-bodied pilsner is crisp and drinkable—perfect for an afternoon on the porch or a night down at the pub. We left it unfiltered and raw to bring out its com-plexity and to fit right in to nearly any situation.
The name translates to “Little Smoke” and that’s just what this beer delivers. Brewed in the rustic Bière de Garde style native to Wallonia (the French-speaking portion of Belgium) this beer has just a hint of smoke flavor (think toasted marshmallows rather than camp-fire) and a unique citrusy hop flavor which complements the spicy flavors of the traditional Belgian-style yeast.
American Black Ale
This American Black Ale borders on IPA territory with a big, fruity and citrus hop bite in a deliciously dark package. Brewed with intense hops—Citra, Idaho 7, Simcoe and Crystal—and a dose of midnight wheat to lend its color without any harsh or roasted malt flavors.
Inspired by the island life, we created an IPA completely disconnected from the mainland. We used our one-of-a-kind Hop Torpedo to deliver an intense rush of hop flavor and the lush aromas of mango, papaya, and passionfruit with every sip. Enjoy our tropical twist on the American IPA.
Appalachian Brown Ale
This is our mountain take on the classic American brown ale brewed right here in Mills River. This beer has complex roasted and biscuity malt flavor with a moderate kiss of herbal hops.
