Below the Bassline

Join us in High Gravity at the Sierra Nevada Taproom in Mills River on Saturday, December 15th from 1pm to 4pm for a free show with Below the Bassline.

Below The Bassline features the music of Jamaican jazz guitarist Ernest Ranglin. Fusing jazz, reggae, and world rhythms this quartet builds deep infectious grooves with a fun and soulful atmosphere. Guitarist Ram Mandelkorn (The Digs), bassist JP Furnas (Dub Kartel), drummer Nik Hope (Empire Strikes Brass), and keyboardist Lenny Pettinelli (Jazz is Phish, Wild Card, VOV) come together to form this powerhouse of Asheville talent. Formed in early 2016, Below The Bassline is a newer group that will excite you with their creative and innovative approach to classic styles.

Ben Bjorlie Band

Join us in High Gravity at the Sierra Nevada Taproom in Mills River on Sunday, December 16th from 2pm to 5pm for a free show with the Ben Bjorlie Band.

Ben Bjorlie has been an Asheville area resident since 1998. Since then he has established deep roots throughout WNC’s diverse musical community. He performs regularly on bass and drums as a house band member of several weekly jam sessions and various regional acts.
The Ben Bjorlie Quartet will be bringing an eclectic mix of grooving jazz, latin and pop tunes that is sure to set the mood for a Sunday afternoon at the Taproom.
